OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City firefighters have contained a blaze at a downtown historic district.

Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland says one firefighter was injured after the flames broke out around 8 a.m. Thursday in the Stockyards City area. The fire was contained a little after 11 a.m. after burning the Bentley-Gafford Ranch store and the Oklahoma Native Art & Jewelry.

Stanaland says the firefighter suffered unspecified injuries in a fall. It’s unclear if that firefighter was treated at the scene or taken to a hospital.

The department dispatched more than 60 firefighters, eight fire engines and three ladder trucks.
