NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Trains traveling to and from New York’s Penn Station are getting back on schedule after earlier delays.

New Jersey Transit says Amtrak overhead wire problems caused delays of up to 45 minutes Thursday morning.

Spokeswoman Nancy Snyder says ridership during the morning peak was down slightly because some bus and train passengers stayed home.

NJ Transit is cross-honoring bus and rail tickets Thursday.
