WASHINGTON (AP) - Drivers have been warned to stay off slippery roads, but Willie, a three-legged dog on Capitol Hill, can handle anything Old Man Winter throws his way.

The soft-coated wheaten terrier sporting a navy blue dog coat and his owner Bob Cashdollar confidently made their way along the sidewalk on Thursday as the morning snow picked up strength.

Sixty-eight-year-old Cashdollar says Willie, who lost his right front leg as a puppy, “likes coming out in the snow,” as the dog rolled on the ground..

Cashdollar was wearing mismatched rubber cleats on his shoes to combat the slush. He says he’s taking the storm in stride, noting that there isn’t much he can do about it. “Plus in August,” he said, “people will be looking for snow.”
