NEW YORK (AP) - Sarah Candeto was traveling with co-worker Amber Reid from Atlanta to New York for some routine business meetings.

Their day was anything but routine.

Both women say their plane began to slide the moment it landed Thursday at LaGuardia.

Candeto says she felt bumps and knew they weren’t on the runway anymore.

She says everyone was silent as the plane slid. But some children started crying after it came to a stop.

After the plane skidded and crashed through a chain-link fence, it came to rest just short of an icy bay.
