VALLEJO, Calif. (AP) - Police in Vallejo say a man has been arrested in connection with three killings in the city over a three-month period, and three others are also in custody in the crime spree.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1GngZD8) 19-year-old Lorenzo Mateo Cortez was arrested this week on suspicion of murder while at Solano County Jail, where he was being held in unrelated crimes. It wasn’t immediately known if he has a lawyer.

Police say evidence ties Cortez to shooting deaths on Nov. 3, Dec. 20 and Jan. 10.

The newspaper says three others, including a 17-year-old boy, are also in custody in connection to the crimes.
