CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A winter storm has dumped up to a foot of snow in West Virginia.

The storm soaked the state with heavy rain on Wednesday then dumped 12 inches of snow in Parkersburg and 11 inches in Huntington.

The National Weather Service says with snow still coming down Thursday afternoon, other storm totals included 10 inches in Hurricane, 9 in Martinsburg and 8.5 in Charleston.
