WEST POINT, Ind. (AP) - Northern Indiana authorities say a collision between freight train and a truck has killed a woman.

Tippecanoe County sheriff’s deputies say 34-year-old Rachael Logan of West Point was pronounced dead at the scene Friday morning after her truck was found upside down along railroad tracks.

Deputies say the truck pulled in front of the Norfolk Southern train at a crossing in West Point, an unincorporated community a few miles southwest of Lafayette. They say the train pushed the truck approximately 40 yards down the tracks.

The crossing has no lights or stop-arms.
