BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A 21-year-old former bank teller in Beatrice has been convicted of theft and attempted theft.

Court records say Jacie Ticnor is scheduled to be sentenced on April 16. On Thursday she pleaded no contest to both charges after making a deal with prosecutors, who lowered one of the charges. The records say prosecution and defense lawyers will recommend probation for Ticnor.

Ticnor was arrested in November after two Pinnacle Bank branch customers reported unauthorized withdrawals totaling $8,500 that occurred from July 1 through Oct. 14.

Court records say Ticnor has already paid back the money.
