GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Grand Rapids police are field testing the use of body cameras.

The department says tests started this week throughout all operational units, including patrol officers, the K-9 unit and on all shifts.

A number of other Michigan departments are considering adding them. President Barack Obama has been promoting the use of body cameras by police in the wake of the August shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
