SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Sophomore Vivian Gray scored 36 points, 11 in the fourth quarter, as Argyle beat Waco La Vega 58-54 Friday in the girls’ Class 4A state semifinals.

The game was a rematch of La Vega’s win over Argyle in the 2014 Class 3A state title game.

Jesse Sheridan scored 12 points and had a steal and made two free throws with 9 seconds left to seal the victory for Arygle (31-5).

Gray, who was named all-tournament after the 2014 final was 12 of 19 from the field, made 12 free throws and grabbed 13 rebounds. She scored all but two of Argyle’s 13 points in the final quarter.

Calveion Landrum led Waco La Vega (34-3) with 24 points but she also was one of three La Vega starters to foul out.
