SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Reagan Haynes made two free throws with six seconds left in overtime and Gruver held off Weimar 51-48 Friday in the Class 2 A girls state semifinals.

Hadlee Spivey’s free throw had given Gruver a 4-point lead with 35 seconds left before Weimar’s Jazmine Kirby made a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 49-48.

A frenetic finish saw four turnovers in the final 27 seconds. Weimar had the ball before Haynes stole a pass and drew a foul, then swished both free throws for the final margin.

Brennyn Seagler had 24 points and 11 rebounds for Gruver (31-5), which trailed 31-17 before rallying. Haynes scored 14 points and Spivey scored nine, including five in overtime.

Kirby had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Weimar (34-5).
