SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A Sheridan lawmaker remains hospitalized with a lung ailment after the Wyoming Legislature wrapped up its session on Friday.

Rep. John Patton is battling a respiratory infection doctors call acute respiratory distress syndrome. He is in stable condition and on oxygen.

The legislator was hospitalized Feb. 17 with a blockage in an artery that required a stent. His heart is doing well, but doctors say the lung issues have proven tougher to overcome.

The Sheridan Press reports (https://tinyurl.com/ow4gbla ) Patton is still in good spirits even though he missed the end of the legislative session.
