EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - U.S. Homeland Security agents have arrested a 67-year-old Everett, Washington, man accused in a child pornography investigation.
KIRO-TV of Seattle reports (https://is.gd/fUL0gy ) that Andrew Evich was convicted in 1974 for murdering a 6-year-old boy. The television station says he’s been in and out of prison several times since then. This latest arrest came Thursday.
Homeland Security agents say Evich posed as a 13-year-old boy and tried to get others to send him sexually explicit pictures of children through a peer-to-peer file-sharing program.
KIRO says Evich will go before a federal judge on Tuesday for a hearing.
