NORMAL, Ill. (AP) - Kaylee Bambule hit 5 three-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead Lombard Montini past Chicago Bogan 63-40 for third place in the girls’ 3A state basketball tournament.

Nikki Oppenheimer contributed 11 more Saturday for the Lady Broncos (31-6). They won the 3A title last year.

Brittany Byrd had a game-high 25 points for Bogan (22-11). Bogan made its first state tournament appearance.

Jamee Denman chipped in 7 points for the Bengals.

Lombard led 26-24 at halftime. The Broncs pulled away in the third quarter thanks to Bambule’s hot hand from beyond the three-point stripe.

Lombard shot 23 of 50 from the field (46 percent) compared with Bogan’s 14 of 48 (29.2 percent).

Bogan lost to Rochester 71-60 in Friday’s semi-final round. Lombard lost 58-44 to Morton.
