NEW ALBANY, Miss. (AP) - The Union County Sheriff’s Department has made a major meth bust following a two-month long investigation.

Sheriff Jimmy Edwards tells WTVA-TV (https://bit.ly/1wS7lpj ) that four people were arrested Friday after deputies found 44 grams of ice, the purest form of crystal meth, at a home in the East Union Community.

Each faces several charges ranging from possession of methamphetamine to the sale of meth.

Edwards says undercover deputies executed several “controlled buys” from the suspects in the past couple of months, which helped lead to their arrest.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics assisted in the apprehension of the suspects. Their names will be released Monday.
