NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a man they say brought his 3-year-old son in the car during a planned drug deal.

Authorities say undercover officers had arranged via text message to meet 25-year-old Joshua Jackson, ostensibly to buy drugs. Police arrested Jackson when he parked at the meeting place and say he had 133 bags, or just under 2 grams) of heroin. Officers say Jackson’s young son was in the back seat and was turned over to relatives.

Jackson is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and drug and traffic offenses.
