PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gas prices in Rhode Island have jumped another 8 cents per gallon in the past week.
AAA Northeast in its weekly survey released Monday said self-serve, regular has climbed to an average of $2.45 per gallon.
But even though prices are 26 cents per gallon higher than they were a month ago, they remain $1.12 lower than at this time a year ago.
The current Rhode Island price is the same as the national average.
AAA urges motorists to shop around, because the motor club found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.17 per gallon and as high as $2.59.
