NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. (AP) - Police in northern New Jersey say 128 customers of a bank have been victimized by criminals who attached a skimmer device to an automated teller machine.

The Record newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1GCp6XV ) the device was found on Sunday, shortly after it was placed on an ATM at a Kearny Bank branch in North Arlington.

Police say the customers likely had their credit or debit card data stolen, along with their PIN numbers.

The newspaper reported that the bank will reimburse victims for any unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts.

Local, state and federal authorities are investigating the case.
