BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Buckeye say two suspects have been arrested in a homicide case.

They say 21-year-old Zackary Howard and 18-year-old Richard Burns - both of Buckeye - were booked Thursday into a Phoenix jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and aggravated armed robbery.

Burns was ordered held on $1 million bond at his initial court appearance Friday. He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Police say a resident discovered the body Wednesday morning on the trail behind Inca Elementary School.

Police later identified the victim as 19-year-old Matthew Christensen of Buckeye and say he had multiple gunshots wounds to his body.

They say investigators believe Howard and Burns conspired to rob Christensen at the location his body was found.

It was unclear Friday if Howard has a lawyer for his case.
