CAPE MAY POINT, N.J. (AP) - Residents of one southern New Jersey town may be getting used to gas leaks caused by road work.

Utility workers accidentally damaged a gas line while drilling in the street Friday morning in Cape May Point.

That led authorities to temporarily evacuate 25 people from the surrounding area.

They were allowed back in their homes and businesses a few hours later.

The Press of Atlantic City reports (https://bit.ly/1I3cdvI ) this was the fourth gas leak in the area since March, most of which were caused by road construction.
