LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors say the woman accused of cutting Michelle Wilkins’s baby from her womb posted a Craigslist ad for baby clothes to get the victim there, and spent an hour with her before attacking her with a lava lamp.

The Times-Call reports (https://bit.ly/1E27XoO) a brief submitted by the Boulder County District Attorney’s office in preparation for next week’s preliminary hearing says Dynel Lane talked to Wilkins about her pregnancy and other topics before taking her to the basement.

Lane is accused of stabbing her in the neck with a lava lamp, trying to strangle her, and cutting away the 7-month-old girl after Wilkins lost consciousness. The baby didn’t survive, and Lane was charged with attempted first-degree murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy and four felony assault counts.

She’s being held on a $2 million bond.
