PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Governor’s Mansion will begin its fifth season of free weekly tours next month.

First lady Linda Daugaard says the governor’s mansion belongs to the people of South Dakota, and she and Gov. Dennis Daugaard are happy to again open the home on the shore of Capitol Lake to the public.

Beginning June 3, weekly public tours will be conducted each Wednesday in June, July and August. The 30-minute tours will begin at 1 p.m. Central time and will be conducted by volunteers, including the first lady.

Free tickets must be obtained in advance form the Pierre Chamber of Commerce.
