LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Lafayette police are investigating after a man’s body was found on a sidewalk by a newspaper columnist who was walking his dog.

The Lafayette Journal & Courier (https://on.jconline.com/1I1jlZA ) reports the man’s body was found bundled in a bright orange nylon material Thursday morning by one of the newspaper’s columnists.

Police Lt. Brad Hayworth says it’s too soon to tell whether criminal activity may have been involved in the death of the man, whose identity wasn’t released.

Hayworth says there are no signs of foul play or apparent trauma on the body. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.
