EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a longtime Eugene resident whose body was found last weekend in a California lake.

The Eugene Register-Guard reports (https://bit.ly/1dyNkv7 ) that 34-year-old Elizabeth Anne Todis was found dead Sunday morning in Pinto Lake, near Watsonville, California.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Kent says based on the body’s condition, it had been in the lake for one to two weeks before being found.

Officials say Todis had been staying in various communities throughout Northern California. Police and court records list her home as being in south Eugene as recently as December, but also that she had several run-ins with Northern California police between December and March.

Kent says investigators have not determined the cause of death and that foul play has not been ruled out.
