BALTIMORE (AP) - Officials say a man has been charged with cutting a fire hose while firefighters battled a blaze at a drug store during rioting.

Deputy State Fire Marshal Bruce Bouch said in an email on Friday that 22-year-old Greg Bailey has been charged with obstructing firefighting operations, malicious destruction of property and reckless endangerment.

Bouch says Bailey stabbed a fire hose on Monday while firefighters were battling a blaze in the CVS at 2509 Pennsylvania Avenue. He says the punctured hose caused a sudden drop in water pressure and endangered firefighters.

A warrant was served on Bailey Friday as he awaited a bond review at the Baltimore City Detention Center on unrelated charges.
