GUILFORD, Vt. (AP) - A Guilford, Vermont, man is recovering from severe injuries after a logging accident.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports (https://bit.ly/1GBwtPi) that Dan Stoughton was working in the woods Thursday morning when a skidder rolled over him. Authorities say the availability of cellular phone service in the area made a huge difference in allowing emergency personnel to find him. They used off-road equipment to rescue Stoughton, who was flown by helicopter to Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts.

Greg Stoughton, the victim’s son, said he was grateful for the quick response of emergency crews.
