LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man is in custody Friday after police say he stabbed another man in the face at Los Angeles International Airport.

KCBS-TV reports (https://cbsloc.al/1JWBCUU ) that LAX Police say a man was at the airport around 12:30 a.m. Friday to pick up an employee when he was stabbed multiple times, including above the eye.

LAX Police say he is now receiving medical care.

They say the suspect had a knife and was arrested for attempted murder.

The suspect was not a passenger and the motive for the stabbing is unknown.
