CREVE COEUR, Mo. (AP) - A 31-year-old man is dead after being struck on Interstate 270 in St. Louis County, apparently after getting out of the car he had crashed moments earlier.

The accident happened around midnight Friday in Creve Coeur, forcing closure of northbound lanes. All lanes were open by morning rush hour.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1c3yKex ) reports that two vehicles collided. One left the scene, crashing into a median wall. Creve Coeur police say the driver got out and was struck.
