ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York’s attorney general has announced a settlement for $375,000 with the operator of 13 Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in New York City.

The settlement with KFC Corp. franchisee Divine Investors LLC and owner Hiren Patel involves restitution for workers for labor law violations.

Authorities say more than 700 current and former employees November 2011 to September 2014 are eligible.

They say violations include requiring employees to continue to work after they clocked out, not paying all required overtime and failing to cover the cost of laundering uniforms.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, whose office has reached similar settlements with many fast food companies, says it’s unacceptable to deny earned pay to workers, especially those working for low wages.
