WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A husband and wife from Farmington each face assault charges after police say they attacked each other with a sword inside West Hartford hookah lounge.

The Hartford Courant reports (https://cour.at/1I2XKQ s) charges were filed Friday against 47-year-old George Ayoub, who owns the 1001 Arabian Nights Hookah Lounge, and his 24-year-old wife, Najeh Frehi.

Police say they were called to the lounge on April 22 by Ayoub, who was found bleeding inside the building. His wife was found down the block with wounds to her shoulders and hands.

A large sword was found at the scene.

Police say they have not determined who the aggressor was in what they are treating as an incident of domestic violence.
