DARDANELLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a standoff with an armed man who shot at Yell County deputies ended peacefully with no injuries.

Sheriff Bill Gilkey told reporters that Charles Black surrendered about 10:15 p.m. Thursday at a home southwest of Dardanelle.

The standoff began Thursday afternoon after deputies tried to arrest the man on drug charges and he fired at least two shots at the officers.

State police were later called to assist and sent negotiators and a tactical team to the scene.
