BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idahoans will have the opportunity to donate to more than 650 nonprofits and charities across the state in the state’s third annual “Idaho Gives,” the 24-hour, online fundraising blitz.

This year’s event will take place on May 7. The fundraising - ranging from groups like the Idaho Youth Ranch to the Idaho Diaper Bank and the Boise Rescue Mission- will take place almost entirely on the web at idahogives.org.

Last year, roughly 600 nonprofits and charities raked in more than $780,000.

Stemming from similar events taking places in several other states, the Idaho Nonprofit Center has partnered with nonprofits throughout Idaho to encourage people to choose a cause to support.
