ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities in Anderson County say two people are dead after a head-on collision.

Local media outlets report the wreck occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The S.C. Highway Patrol says a Toyota Celica was headed west on State Highway 88 when it crossed the center line and collided with a Kia.

The patrol said both drivers were trapped in their car and had to be removed. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the patrol, both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Their identities haven’t yet been released.
