WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (AP) - Severn people were injured when two cars collided in northern New Jersey.

Authorities tell NJ.com (https://bit.ly/1cmPnS7) that the crash occurred Saturday in Weehawken, when a car driven by 77-year-old Philip Raguseo, of West New York, rear-ended a car driven by 31-year-old Huber Ricardo Contreras Farfan, of Oxon Hill, Maryland. The accident occurred near Boulevard East and Hudson Place.

Raguseo suffered a severe head injury and was unconscious when police arrived. He was taken to a hospital, where he remained Sunday in stable condition.

Farfan and five passengers in his car - including a 4-year-old who authorities say was not secured in a child’s car seat - were treated at hospitals for minor injuries and were later released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
