BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - The death of an eastern Pennsylvania man is being attributed to a traffic accident three and one-half decades ago in New York state.

The Lehigh County coroner’s office said 53-year-old James Koplik of Bethlehem died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

The coroner attributed the cause of death to “complications of injuries he received when he was struck by a motor vehicle approximately 35 years ago.”

Officials didn’t say where in New York state Koplik was struck when he was about 18 years old or provide details about the circumstances. The manner of death was ruled accident.

The coroner’s office is searching for relatives of Koplik and asks anyone with family information to call the office.
