PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are investigating two slayings and several other shootings in Philadelphia over the weekend.

Officials said a 34-year-old man was shot in the head shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday outside a car in the Port Richmond section of northeast Philadelphia. He died about four hours later.

Police said another man was shot and killed in northwest Philadelphia just after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Officers also reported several shootings near the South Street entertainment area that was packed with people on a warm Saturday night.

Police said two youths aged 16 and 17 were hit in the leg by gunfire during an argument among a group of young men early Sunday.



About an hour and a half later, more gunfire wounded a 19-year-old man in the leg nearby.
