LOS ANGELES (AP) - A hang glider accident has killed a man in Los Angeles County.

City News Service says the 59-year-old man was one of five hang gliders who descended from a peak known as Hang Glider Point in the Kagel Canyon area on Saturday.

Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Jaeger says authorities were contacted when the man failed to show up at a rally point that evening.

The man and his gilder were found after a search. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name hasn’t been released.
