FRISCO, Texas (AP) - A North Texas mall was evacuated after a fire involving two transformers. No one was hurt.

The City of Frisco says the fire at Stonebriar Centre Mall on Sunday afternoon is under investigation. The fire is out but a portion of the mall remains without power.

Firefighters called to the mall found a transformer on fire. Firefighters say the failure of the burning transformer caused another transformer inside the building to ignite as well. Power to the transformers was then cut.

Frisco firefighters called for the evacuation of the mall’s west side. Firefighters say mall security evacuated the entire mall as a precautionary measure.

Firefighters continue to work to clear the mall of smoke so patrons can return. There is no estimate for when power will be restored.
