ATLANTA (AP) - The third annual Shaky Knees Music Festival shook off the heavy rains of its first two years and enjoyed sunny skies throughout its three-day run in downtown Atlanta.

Several artists on stage mentioned the warm weather and enduring crowds, even rocker Aimee Mann who joked that she might get a sunburn on one arm but not the other as she moved in and out of the sunshine that crept onto the stage.

Despite the signature Atlanta heat, the attendees did their best to stay cool, holding battery powered fans in the front row and seeking out tree shade near the rear areas.

T. Hardy Morris, a guitarist for Diamond Rugs, even tossed out a cold can of beer upon request into the crowd as his band warmed up.
