CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The state Division of Culture and History will receive nearly $639,000 in federal funding for community arts programs.

The National Endowment for the Arts also awarded more than $35,000 to the West Virginia Humanities Council.

The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences in Charleston, Allegheny Echoes in Marlinton and the Wheeling Symphony Society will receive $10,000 each.

The NEA is making more than 1,000 awards totaling $74 million nationwide in fiscal year 2015.
