NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a cabbie chased down a robber, and other bystanders quickly flagged down officers when the man took off again.

Officer Juan Barnes Sr. says 25-year-old Jonathan Bradley was booked Saturday with first-degree robbery. It was not clear whether Bradley has an attorney who could comment.

Barnes says in a news release that Bradley allegedly wrestled down and robbed a man who was leaving a French Quarter grocery about 7:15 a.m. Saturday.

He says a cabbie parked on that block chased down the robber, but backed away when the man said he had a gun.

Other witnesses flagged down officers and described the man, who was arrested blocks away.

Barnes says both the victim and the cab driver identified Bradley in a lineup as the robber.
