WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Police in Winston-Salem say a 14-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded at an apartment complex near the main entrance to Forsyth Technical Community College.

Local media outlets report Capt. Catrina Thompson said officers went to the scene Monday after they received a reported of a shooting. Thompson said officers found the teenager unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim hasn’t been identified.

Thompson said officers took a 16-year-old boy into custody, but no charges have been filed so far.
