BEL AIR, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say four people were injured after a trooper’s patrol car and another vehicle collided in a Harford County intersection as the trooper responded to a call.

Police say the trooper was responding to a call on Sunday afternoon with lights and sirens on when the crash occurred at the intersection of state Route 543 and state Route 7 in Bel Air.

Police say the trooper and one of the three people in the other vehicle were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The other two people in the other vehicle were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.
