BUHL, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a woman is in custody after two people died in Tuscaloosa County from severe injuries they sustained during an assault.

Multiple news outlets report 35-year-old Angel Jones has been charged with capital murder after police responded to a report of an assault at a home Saturday in Buhl.

Deputies discovered a 55-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries. The man died at the scene and the woman was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center where she later died.

Jones was suffering from minor injuries. She was taken to DCH for treatment and released, then transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Jones being held without bond.

Investigators say Jones and the victims all knew each other. Their relationships and a possible motive have not been released.
