ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young was among those who were injured when a cement truck overturned and fell onto nearby vehicles.

Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon says one man was hospitalized with injuries to his head and hand when the truck flipped Monday afternoon. Video shot by a bystander showed several witnesses helping to pull a bloodied man from a car that had been crushed after the truck fell onto it.

Lyon says former mayor and United Nations ambassador Young was in one of the vehicles that was hit by the truck but was not seriously injured.

Lyon says the operator of the cement truck was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
