WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. police are asking for help finding a man they say assaulted and kidnapped a woman while driving a car with an Uber decal.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday in the area of 13th and G streets northeast after police say the woman accepted a ride in the black, four-door sedan with an Uber decal on the rear passenger vent window.

Police say the driver assaulted the woman with the intent to commit a sexual attack, and then refused to let her get out of the car. Police did not say how the woman got away.

Uber says it is “urgently looking into this serious report” and it is reaching out to police to offer assistance.
