BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputies have arrested a woman after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death.

Deputies say 28-year-old Lisa Stewart was arrested early Monday morning and booked into the parish prison on a charge of second-degree murder.

They say officers responded to a 911 call and found 34-year-old George Taylor dead inside the couple’s home.

Detectives say Stewart told them the two had an argument after a night out drinking with friends at which time she stabbed him with a steak knife.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Stewart.
