PARKER, Ariz. (AP) - An investigation has begun on what police are calling an apparent killing-suicide that left a man and a woman dead.

The (Lake Havasu) Today’s News Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1RvRcws ) that the Parker Police Department, Colorado River Indian Tribes Police Department and the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call saying that there were shots fired around 5:00 a.m. Friday morning.

When they arrived at the scene, Sharon Griffin was found dead on the floor with a gunshot wound to her head. They also found Robert J. Pittelli with a shot wound to his head. Police did not say how the two knew each other.

A news release says that Pittelli appears to have shot Griffin before turning the gun on himself.
