ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say a man arrested after a SWAT standoff following a domestic violence incident had been arrested in March following the dumping of a woman’s dead body wrapped in plastic.

Police say 31-year-old Eugene Crane was arrested Sunday after being found inside a television cabinet in his home where the SWAT standoff occurred.

According to police, officers lobbed flash-bang devices, dispersed tear gas and used a robot to search the house before finding Crane in the cabinet.

Officer Tanner Tixier said Crane had been released pending trial on charges stemming from the dumping of Cheyenne Cantrell, whose body was found near Roller Skate City. Police have said she died of a suspected drug overdose.

Tixier said Crane has now been arrested and jailed in connection with Sunday’s incident.
