BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Buffalo say a 47-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle at an intersection in the city.

Officers say the man was traveling on Genesee Street around 1:15 a.m. Monday when he lost control at Marshall Street, jumped a curb and hit a pole.

Police say he was thrown from his bike and was declared dead at the scene.

Police haven’t releases his name yet.

A stretch of Genesee Street that was closed for about four hours after the accident is now open again.
